Pricing
30-Minute Lesson
$30
Typically this 30 minute session is geared towards younger musicians and/or beginners. We focus on embouchure and basic techniques, music theory, proper note fingerings, scales, and beginner level music. This is a great way for students to get comfortable with their instrument. Students must come prepared with a bassoon, reed, and pencil.
60-Minute Lesson
$50
This 60 minute session is designed for more advanced bassoonists who have been playing for at least a year. During these lessons we focus on more critical and advanced techniques, solos & etudes, sight reading, current repertoire, and more. Students should be comfortable with their instrument at this stage.
Reed Making Consultation
$65
Whether you’re learning to build reeds from scratch or looking to improve consistency, response, intonation, and tone, this one-hour consultation provides personalized guidance tailored to your playing and reed-making goals. Students are encouraged to bring their own reed-making tools and materials; however, if you’re just getting started or don’t yet have the necessary supplies, don’t worry—I have tools and materials available for use during the lesson and can help you choose the right equipment for your own setup.
